Boeing Names New Leader for Commercial Airplanes Sales

SEATTLE, Nov. 8, 2007-- Boeing today announced that Raymond (Ray) Conner has been named vice president, Sales, for Commercial Airplanes, effective Jan. 1, 2008. Conner will replace Larry Dickenson, who has announced his intention to retire from The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] Dec. 31. Conner will report to Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Scott Carson.

Conner, 52, who has led Commercial Airplanes sales for the Americas since February 2003, will lead all sales efforts for airplanes and related services to airlines and leasing companies around the world.

Boeing Everett Tour Center Welcomes Three-Millionth Visitor

EVERETT, Wash., Nov. 14, 2007 -- Al Varness (second from right), 71, was the three-millionth visitor to take the Boeing Everett factory tour on Nov. 12. Varness visited the Tour Center with his grandchildren, Michael Petter (red shirt), 11; and Adam Petter, 7. They were given several Boeing gifts, including a 787 model airplane and a personal tour of the Everett factory. The Boeing Tour Center is part of the Future of Flight Aviation Center, which is a unique learning and interpretive facility designed to let visitors experience the marvel of commercial jet aviation and production. The Boeing Tour Center is one of Washington state?s most-often-visited tourist attractions.

Airbus' Gentle Giant, the A380 Super Jumbo, delivered to Singapore Airlines on October 15, 2007. Charity flights to begin on October 25-26th. Inauguration of service to follow on October 28, 2007. Flights to U.S. will not begin for some time.
