WOW!

Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, of the City of Los Angeles

Charismatic Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa makes a Special Guest Appearance at "The Sky's The Limit ~ Aviation Career Day," and Wows not only the Adults, but a quickly developed entourage of the City's children.

Mover over Arnold Palmer ~ "Antonio's Army" is a Force to be reckoned with!

Van Nuys Airport and the Los Angeles Department of Airports Host an Aviation Job Seminar and Young Eagles Day, while the EAA Boeing B-17G, Aluminum Overcast, makes the rounds.

The Commemorative Air Force kicks in with an AT-6 Texan, a Grumman F-6F Hellcat and the Grumman F-8F Bearcat!

And it didn't stop there...

Clay Lacy's Douglas DC-3, a Lacy Learjet and an "Antique" 1964 Learjet original! L.A. Airport Police Special Weapons and Tactics, the Los Angeles County Sheriff, Robert A. "Bob" Hoover, Oliver Goodall and the Los Angeles Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Dennis McCarthy of the Daily News, and I'm sure I'm leaving someone out...

Oh yeah! The New Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio R. Villaraigosa, makes a smashing (!) Special Guest appearance and brings an entourage with him...more children than the Pied Piper could ever have hoped to see! By mid-day, the EAA had flown one hundred fifty children and teens who had never flown in an aircraft before...and more were on their way!

A beautiful, vibrant day, under broken clouds and sunshine for the EAA, The Ninety-Nines, The Young Eagles, the Commemorative Air Force and the Youth of Los Angeles!
